The Platform
Built by an operator. Engineered to last.
PreShiftIQ is not a thin layer over a directory. It is an enterprise-grade platform built from the data foundation up, by a supply chain operator with decades of first-hand experience buying, selling, and living with this technology. The rigor comes from having done the job, not from studying it.
Built by someone who lived the problem.
Most platforms in this space are built by outsiders: academics modeling the market from a distance, or development teams building to someone else's specification. PreShiftIQ was built by an operator who has been on both sides of the table, selecting transportation technology, selling it, and living with the results. Every decision in the platform, from how a match is scored to how data is protected, reflects that first-hand experience. That kind of judgment cannot be outsourced, and it is in every layer.
Built ahead of what it will be asked to do.
Most software is built to the moment, then rebuilt when it outgrows it. PreShiftIQ was built the other way. The analytical and data foundation, the part most products bolt on years later, was engineered in from the start, in anticipation of what buyers and vendors will need next. Benchmarking, market intelligence, and the questions no one has asked yet all rest on a foundation that already exists.
This is a deliberate choice with a practical payoff: the platform is built to grow without a rebuild. What is here is not a prototype waiting to be replaced. It is the foundation everything else is built on, and it was built to enterprise-grade the first time.
An intelligence foundation, built ahead of the ask.
Underneath the matching engine is something most platforms in this space never build: a governed intelligence foundation. Every assessment, match, and outcome flows into an anonymized, permanent record that, in aggregate, becomes a picture of the market no single participant could assemble on their own.
We built this before anyone asked for it, and we built it to the standard a fund or a compliance desk expects:
Anonymized by construction
Cross-market intelligence is aggregated and floored so that no individual buyer or vendor can be identified, even by inference. The protection is built in, not bolted on.
Reproducible and traceable
The record is never overwritten, so a figure can be reproduced and traced to its source. A number can be defended, not just quoted.
Delivered your way
One governed source can serve a dashboard, a data file, or a direct feed, all reading the same clean, floored numbers.
The foundation is built and in place today. The final layer, dedicated secure compute for the most sensitive workloads, is provisioned when a customer needs it, and not a moment sooner. That is what building ahead without building waste looks like.
For consultants, private equity firms, and category participants who need to see their market clearly, this is a benchmarking and intelligence layer with no direct equivalent.
The right tools, each doing one job well.
PreShiftIQ does not reinvent the parts of a platform that must never fail. It stands on proven, industry-certified services, each chosen for a single job, so the operator's attention stays where it matters: the matching, the data, and the buyer's outcome.
Authentication and identity
Sign-in, identity, and session security are handled by a dedicated, industry-certified provider, so access control is enterprise-grade from the first day.
Payments
Payments run through a PCI-compliant processor. Sensitive card data never touches PreShiftIQ's own systems.
Cloud infrastructure
The platform runs on resilient, managed cloud infrastructure with automatic scaling and storage encrypted in transit and at rest.
Monitoring and observability
Continuous error monitoring catches issues before they reach users, with personal data deliberately kept out of the monitoring stream.
Data store
Platform data lives in a hardened, industry-standard relational database, the same class of system that runs mission-critical operations worldwide.
Communications
Transactional messages are delivered through a secure, authenticated email service, never an unverified channel.
Every one of these services is vetted and governed by a data processing agreement before it touches the platform.
Security is how the platform is built.
Data safety is not a feature added at the end. It is the shape of the platform, enforced in the code rather than promised in a policy.
- Full isolation. Every buyer and every vendor sees only their own data. No participant can ever see another participant's information.
- An immutable record. Every meaningful action is written to an append-only, time-stamped record that names who took it. Nothing is silently changed, and the platform can demonstrate exactly what happened.
- Payment-blind matching. What a vendor pays never influences its score, eligibility, or ranking. This is enforced in the code itself, so money cannot reach the match even in principle.
- Anonymization by construction. Aggregate intelligence is floored and suppressed so that no single buyer or vendor can be identified by inference. The protection is structural, not a promise.
- Governed and minimal. Every third-party service is bound by a data processing agreement, and personal data is kept out of the places it does not belong.
One engine, every category.
Adding a new category to PreShiftIQ is a matter of data, not a rebuild. The same matching engine, the same rigor, and the same protections extend from one vertical to the next. TMS is live today. Dock Scheduling and ELD are in active development on the same engine, and the platform is built so the next category, and the one after that, arrive quickly.
The goal is simple. Every buyer and every vendor, in every category we serve, starts from a better beginning: documented requirements, measured fit, and a decision they can defend.
A foundation you can build a decision on.
The strength of an advisory platform is the strength of what sits underneath it. PreShiftIQ was built to carry the weight of a real decision, for the buyer choosing a system, the vendor standing behind a match, and the partner running engagements on top of it.
